讲座主题/Title：An introduction to canonical metrics

讲座摘要/Abstract:

This is an expository talk over the topic of canonical metrics and stability conditions. During the last few decades, people found that in order to construct reasonable moduli spaces (of varieties), it's necessary to focus on those stable ones. The stability of a variety has different reincarnations. It can be viewed as a minimizer of some functional(s), which satisfies a certain PDE(s). It can be viewed as the mildness of the singularity type. It can also be viewed as a limit of some probability process. In this talk, we will have a view of different aspects of the stability condition(s).
